<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectrochemical cell that is superior in photoelectric transfer efficiency, in particular, released voltage and durability. <P>SOLUTION: An ion conductive composition containing an electrolyte made of a substance other than the carboxylic acid compound as expressed by the chemical formula 1 (in the formula, R<SP>1</SP>is a phenyl group having at least one substituted group with the number of carbons 3-10, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having a condensed ring structure, or a specific aryl group-substituted alkyl group such as trityl group and X is an atom or group of atoms that possibly becomes cation such as monovalent hydrogen atom and alkaline metal atom), and the carboxylic acid compound such as lithium iodide, such as a carboxylic acid compound having a functional group that has a large steric hindrance, is used as a charge transfer layer of the photoelectrochemical cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
