PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately operate household electric appliances with a remote control from a remote place and to confirm the results of the operated household electric appliances regarding a remote control system. SOLUTION: This remote control system is provided with a remote control 252 for transmitting to an operation target 3 a signal for operating the operation target 3, a camera 251 for photographing the operation target 3, a camera unit 25 which mounts both the camera 251 and the remote control 252 thereon so as to make a photographing direction of the camera 251 and a transmitting direction of the remote control 252 to be parallel with each other and can change the photographing direction and the transmitting direction horizontally and vertically, and a remotely-controlled apparatus 1 for receiving an image photographed by the camera 251 from the camera unit 24 to display the image and transmitting to the camera unit 25 operation commands of the remote control 252 and the camera unit 24.
