<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration managing method and a concentration management device of chemical for water treatment which can easily and quickly carry out measurement with higher precision. <P>SOLUTION: Concentration management of the medicine for a supplemented water treatment is performed in under processing water, by adding water-soluble salt of lithium as a tracer material in the under processing water with the chemical for the water treatment, and electrochemically or optically measuring the lithium ion concentration by using the lithium ion responsive material.
