摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus for reducing power consumption in a waiting state at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication apparatus is provided with: a broad band amplifier section 52 for receiving, as a received wave 33, a transmission wave 32 (broad band signal) transmitted from a transmitter side apparatus 200; a frequency despreading section 53; a narrow band amplifier section 91 and a band pass filter 301 for receiving, at a narrow band, the transmission wave 32 (broad band signal) including a waiting release code to release the waiting. Moreover, a control section 302 for setting the communication mode to a narrow band communication mode wherein the narrow band amplifier section 91 and the band pass filter 301 are activated while a broadband amplifier 52 or the like are deactivated in the waiting state, and releases the waiting in the waiting state, activates the broad band amplifier section 52 or the like and revises the communication mode into a broad band communication mode wherein the narrow band amplifier section 91 and the band pass filter 301 are deactivated when the narrow band amplifier section 91 and the band pass filter 301 receive the broad band signal including the waiting release code. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
