METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING COLOR LONG MESSAGE BY SMS IN CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving a color long message by an SMS(Short Message Service) in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication system is provided to offer the SMS by color and transmit and receive a long message. CONSTITUTION: If a color/long SMS is requested from a specific server or a certain terminal(S401), an SMS server(4) judges whether a reception terminal(41) supports the color/long SMS(S402). The SMS server(4) requests an MC(Message Center)(5) to support the color/long message SMS(S403). The MC(5) records a TI(Teleservice Identifier) and user data in a corresponding short message(S404). The MC(5) transmits the corresponding short message to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(6), and requests the MSC(6) to transmit the corresponding short message to the reception terminal(41)(S405). If the color/long SMS is received(S406), the reception terminal(41) processes the color/long SMS. The reception terminal(41) transmits a response with respect to the reception to the MSC(6), the MC(5) and the SMS server(4)(S408-S410).
