PURPOSE: A wedge for stopping train is provided to preventing escaping of the train wheel from the rail fixing the wheel accurately and firmly on the rail. CONSTITUTION: A supporting surface(311) is formed in front portion with reduced height from the upper part to the front part. A rail inserting groove(312a) is formed in a main body(310) in lower part. The supporting surface is formed with a curvature conforming to the wheel of the train. The main body is formed with a composite rubber to endure the impact. The rail inserting groove is formed corresponding to the width of the rail.
