KIMCHI REFRIGERATOR AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A kimchi refrigerator and a control method of the same are provided to minimize freezing by efficiently controlling temperature in a storage compartment. CONSTITUTION: A kimchi refrigerator includes a cooling unit(40) cooling down a room of a storage compartment; a temperature sensor(61) sensing temperature in the storage compartment; and a control part(70) controlling the cooling unit to continuously super-cool under objective temperature if indoor temperature sensed by the temperature sensor is over fixed excessive temperature, and gradually cool to reach the objective temperature if the indoor temperature sensed by the temperature sensor is under the fixed excessive temperature. The temperature sensor is placed on an inner wall of the storage compartment to accurately sense temperature in the storage compartment. A method includes the steps of: a step setting the fixed excessive temperature; a step comparing the temperature in the storage compartment sensed by the temperature sensor with the excessive temperature; a step super-cooling the storage compartment under the objective temperature if the temperature in the storage compartment is over the excessive temperature; and a step allowing the temperature in the storage compartment to gradually reach the objective temperature if the temperature in the storage compartment is under the excessive temperature.
