A contact blade (1) for a stepping motor (10) may be inserted into a U-shaped spring contact (3). It may be soldered to the spring by a quantity of solder (6) held in a pocket in the side of the U- shape. The contact strip attached to the spring is embedded in a plastics housing (2). The U-shaped spring is covered by a plastics dome (5) over which an induction coil may be placed.
