Array assay devices and methods of using the same

Array assay devices and methods for using the same in array based assays are provided. The subject devices are characterized by having a base (1) dimensioned to hold a substrate (110) having at least one array (112), a cover (5) dimensioned to cover the substrate (110) and a snap-fit (84) for holding the cover (5) and the base (1) together to enclose a space between the base (1) and the cover (5). The subject invention also includes methods for performing an array assay. In the subject methods, a subject device (2) is provided and a substrate (110) having at least one array (112) is positioned on the base (1). The snap-fit (84) is engaged to hold the cover (5) and the base (1) together to enclose a space between the base (1) and the cover (5). Next, a sample is contacted with the at least one array (112) and an array assay is performed. The subject invention also includes kits which include the subject devices. <IMAGE>
