The pivoting shutter system mounted in a window frame (1) comprises a frame (5) pivoted in the window frame. There is a shutter mounted in the frame and fixing point (8) on each side of the frame in the top part of the window frame and a second fixing point (7) in the window frame bottom part. The first fixing point is a bracket provided with rotational means enabling the frame to rotate in the window frame. The second fixing point is a bracket provided with a gas spring (6) which holds the frame in an oblique position. An independent claim is included for method of controlling the braking force.
