Temperature inside a room temperature-operated battery disposed close to a heat generating source is prevent from rising due to heat generated by an external heat source. The heat insulating effect of a battery vessel is enhanced by providing a hollow in the wall of the battery vessel or by filling an insulation material in the resin constituting the battery vessel. Protrusions or irregularities provided at the portion, contacting the installation member of the battery, of the outer surface of the wall of the battery vessel prevent heat generated outside by conduction from transferring to the battery vessel. A shielding material disposed on the outer surface of the battery vessel to shield radiation heat prevents heat from transferring by radiation to the battery. |
