The invention relates to a stencil, which is to be stretched inside a frame and which is provided for applying a soldering paste to contact points of a printed circuit board or for applying a conductive adhesive to a printed circuit board. According to one aspect of the invention, an inventive stencil has stencil edge areas (2, 2', 2", 2"'), which are provided for stretching the stencil (1, 1"') in a stretching frame at at least two opposing stencil edge areas (2, 2', 2", 2"') and designed for grasping and tensioning the stencil (1, 1"') inside the stretching frame. At least one stencil edge area (2, 2', 2", 2"') is rounded by a folded-back edge (5, 5', 5",5"'). The aim of the invention is, according to a first aspect of the inventive concept, to round at least the stencil edge area that has been shown to pose a risk of injury when handling the stencil so that this stencil edge area no longer poses a risk of injury or at least reduces the risk of injury. |
