The invention relates to a motor vehicle anti-theft system and a device for same. The invention is characterised in that it involves the joint use of the driver's seat and one or more devices. The inventive system is used to prevent access to: the vehicle control pedals, while simultaneously reducing the space between the seat and the steering wheel; the dashboard, by obstructing the space required to manoeuvre the vehicle; and the electric wires which are necessary in order to start the vehicle using a bridging or similar system, thereby preventing the car from being driven in the standard manner.
