FIELD: biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with evaluating body tolerance to thrombin in experimental animals and could be applied by research establishments of medico-biological orientation to study effect of impacts altering body resistance to thrombin. The method deals with intravenous injecting thrombin solution of certain activity and volume for experimental animals (undergoing and not undergoing impacts under studying), blood sampling in 30 min after its injection, detecting residual thrombin-reacting fibrinogen quantity in plasma of sampled blood, comparing this amount with that in plasma of intact rats and calculation of residual fibrinogen concentration by the following formula: D% = (Co : Ck) x 100, where D - residual fibrinogen concentration in %, Ck - fibrinogen concentration in thrombin-free rats, Co - fibrinogen concentration in rats with thrombin injected at the background of any impact under studying. Thrombin tolerance is calculated by the following formula: X% = (Do : Dk) x 100, where X% - tolerance to thrombin in %, Do - residual fibrinogen concentration in % in a group undergone an impact under studying, Dk - residual fibrinogen concentration in % in a group not undergoing an impact under studying (control group).
