DISPLAY UNIT WITH AN INPUT OPTION

Disclosed is a display unit (AE), particularly for a communication device (MFG), comprising a display element (AEL) for representing graphic symbols or contents and a keyboard having an at least partly transparent key section (TAO, TAU, TAS) for entering control commands. The at least partly transparent key section is arranged on top of a predefined area of the display element such that the functions or descriptions of functions can be represented on the display element by keys that are disposed in said key section. The key function can be adjusted at any moment according to the context represented on the display element by representing the key function on the display element. The user is able to quickly and definitely recognize keys to which a given function is assigned by means of key-type structures which are arranged on top of the display element.
