The fume hood (1) contains a fan to draw off mist and vapors from cooking of food. It has a ventilator box containing the fan (2) with a circular outlet at the top and with a base with a drawer which can be pulled out at each side (3). The assembly has a step at the front. The drawers and fastening brackets at the sides may be of different widths to fit over a domestic or mass catering cooker.
