1282882 Preparation of trans-trans-4,4<SP>1</SP>- diaminodicyclohexylmethane and dicarboxylic acid salts thereof IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 26 Jan 1970 [12 Feb 1969] 7639/69 Heading C2C A process for the preparation of dicarboxylic acid salts of 4,4<SP>1</SP>-diaminodicyclohexylmethane of enriched trans-trans content comprises in a first stage hydrogenating diaminodiphenylmethane in water as a solvent in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst and in a second stage removing the catalyst and treating the resultant liquor with a dicarboxylic acid and separating the solid trans-trans enriched salt of the dicarboxylic acid and 4,4<SP>1</SP>-diaminodicyclohexylmethane from the liquid phase. The salt thus obtained may be converted to 4,4<SP>1</SP>-diaminodicyclohexylmethane by neutralization. |
