<p>The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1), especially for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. Said injection valve comprises a valve closing element (4) that interacts with a valve face (6) configured on a valve body (5) to give a sealing seat, and a swirl-producing element (34). Said swirl-producing element (34) is provided with a polygonal element (35, 47) that is twisted in itself and that has a spiral structure (38). In conjunction with a recess (39, 43) of the valve body (5), said polygonal element defines fuel channels (37) that guide the fuel on a spiraling path towards a spray opening (7).</p> |
