<p>An elevator device, wherein a main rope is wound on the drive sheave of a drive device, and a car is suspended from the main rope and lifted by the drive device in a hoistway, whereby, by using, as the main rope, a resin-coated rope having an outer layer coating body of a high friction resin material formed on the outer peripheral part thereof, a traction capability can be assured without using a counterbalance weight.</p> |
