PURPOSE: To provide an immersion-proof/erosion-controlling agent for vegetation base comprising a specific fatty acid and an alkali metal salt of fatty acid, thus is stable for a prolonged period of time against rainfall and flooding because of its excellent resistance to water immersion and readily dispersible in and rapidly adsorbable to mud. CONSTITUTION: This controlling agent comprises (A) a fatty acid having 6-24 carbon atoms per carboxyl group such as palmitic acid and (B) an alkali metal, or ammonium salt (preferably alkanolamine salt or ammonium salt) of a fatty acid having 6-24 carbon atoms per carboxylic acid. The equivalent ratio of carboxyls in the components A and B is A/B=20/80-80/20. For example, a polyethylene glycol type nonionic surfactant is preferably used as an emulsifier to prepare an aqueous suspension or emulsion. |
