METHOD FOR DETERMINING CONTROL CYCLE OF TRANSMISSION POWER OFFSET IN SOFT HANDOVER AND RADIO CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling transmission power of a DSCH (downlink shared channel) for preventing degradation of quality of the DSCH in DHO (diversity handover).

SOLUTION: The above problem is settled by a method for determining offset control cycle of the transmission power characterized by determining a report cycle of a base station that provides the best downlink radio line quality to be reported from a mobile station on the basis of relation between combination of the downlink radio line quality of the respective base stations and a transfer state of the mobile station and informing the base station and the mobile station of the determined control cycle in the method for determining the offset control cycle of the transmission power for switching transmission power offset of a common channel for a down link packet to be transmitted from the base station selected at the mobile station in soft handover in which the mobile station in a mobile packet communication system is simultaneously connected with a plurality of base stations.
