PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an input device other than standard input devices when inputting data on a Web page from a client terminal.

SOLUTION: Computer B is provided with at least two types of input devices. An input definition file specifying the type of input device of computer B used for input of input items is stored in computer A. Upon receipt of a request made from computer B, the input definition file is transmitted to computer B. Computer B then receives data input from the input device specified in the input definition file as data input for the input items and transmits the data to computer A.
