The invention relates to a device for determining haemoglobin quantity by inhaling a predetermined quantity of carbon monoxide. Said device comprises a mouthpiece (10), which is connected to a bag (18) that can be filled with oxygen via a connecting piece (1). The device is provided with a first valve (9) for closing a first passage (8) that links the connecting piece (1) with the mouthpiece (10) and a second valve (17) for closing a second passage (16) that links the connecting piece (1) with the bag (18).
