According to the invention, this device is mounted on board this other aircraft and comprises an at least approximately vertical display 2 on which are displayed, superimposed, a representation (14-21) of the canopy of this other aircraft and a symbol (22, 23, 24) representative of the aircraft to be spotted and of the position of the latter.
