Method of position determination in a room

The method involves transmitting different position information signals from a transmitter (5) to various raster points (POS1-POS9) in the space that are received by a navigation device at a raster point and determines its position in space as the position of the raster point. The position information signals are optical signals, especially laser or infrared-laser signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: a navigation arrangement and a transmitter.
