PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom of a change in the floor plan of an apartment house and the area of each dwelling unit. SOLUTION: This apartment house, in which the dwelling units are continuously constructed in the state of facing a common corridor 1, is characterized as follows: the dwelling units are divided into a plurality of groups by earthquake resisting walls 4 in such a manner that a prescribed number of continuous dwelling units serve as one group; the mutual dwelling units in each group are divided by removable dry sound-insulating fireproofing walls 3; an area on the common-corridor side of each dwelling unit in one group is constructed of a skeleton-infill structure which is equipped with a double floor continuing by crossing the lower part of the wall 3; and piping, wiring and the like can be housed inside the double floor.
