PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a follower pin from coming off from a cam groove by impact force in the case of dropping in a lens barrel using the cam groove and the follower pin. SOLUTION: The lens barrel is equipped with a cam barrel 30 having the cam groove 33 on its inner peripheral surface 30a and a lens holding barrel 41 having the follower pin 42 inserted in the cam groove 33 on its outer peripheral surface 41a and holding a lens G1. In the lens barrel, the holding barrel 41 is extended in an optical axis direction L by turning the cam barrel 30. It is provided with an abutting pin 43 abutting on the inner peripheral surface 30a of the cam barrel 30 in an area where the follower pin 42 does not exist on the surface 41a of the holding barrel 41. Thus, even when the holding barrel 41 receives external force in a state where it projects from the cam barrel 30, the pin 43 regulates the movement of the pin 42 caused by the distortion or the like of the holding barrel 41, so that the pin 42 is prevented from falling out from the cam groove 33.
