PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material which can be easily opened when used for packaging an object matter, and a raw packaging material sheet which can be used to manufacture the packaging material, and also, to provide a method for manufacturing the raw packaging material sheet which can be used to manufacture the raw packaging material sheet for manufacturing the packaging material to be opened easily with an improved manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: The cut tape is stuck to the sheet body in parallel with a strip sheet body, and also a grasping piece is formed by cutting the sheet body together with a part of the strip cut tape, in the packaging material provided with the sheet body surrounding the object matter, a pair of the strip sheet bodies stuck to both side ends of the sheet body so as to extend and project along the both side ends of the sheet body, the strip cut tape for cutting the sheet body, and the grasping piece formed for grasping the cut tape.
