PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main shaft which reduces resonance by suppressing propagating sound in the main shaft. SOLUTION: The main shaft 10 has a chamber 17 extended along the longitudinal center axial line, wherein one end of the main shaft is provided with an acting part 3 and the other end is provided with a driving part 5. The main shaft 10 is rotatably driven by the driving part 5 around the longitudinal center axial line of the driving part 5, wherein the resonance reducing means is provided in the chamber 17.
