PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a plated polyester resin molding in which a firmly fixed plating layer having a reduced surface roughness and excellent smoothness is formed on the surface. SOLUTION: The method of producing a plated polyester resin molding includes a stage where a resin composition containing a thermoplastic polyester resin consisting of a polycondensation product of dicarboxylic acid components containing the metallic salt of sulfoisophthalic acid and aromatic dicarboxylic components, and saturated aliphatic diol components is melted and molded, and the surface of the obtained molding is treated with an acid aqueous solution, and electroless plating is applied to the surface.
