SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY MANAGING IMMIGRATION/EMIGRATION USING BIOMETRIC RECOGNITION PASSPORT AND VISA

PURPOSE: A system for automatically managing immigration/emigration using a biometric recognition passport and visa is provided to block the forged/altered passport and visa, and to shorten the time for the immigration/emigration investigation by automatically or semi-automatically opening/closing a gate after identifying an immigrant/emigrant by using a biometric technology. CONSTITUTION: A biometric recognition unit(10) offers a biometric image including a face and an iris image of the immigrant/emigrant. A network computer(30) receives the biometric data stored in a smart card or an IC card(90) held by the immigrant/emigrant, and identifies the immigrant/emigrant by comparing the biometric data inputted from the biometric unit with the biometric data received from the smart card or the IC card. A gate controller(80) automatically or semi-automatically opens/closes the gate if an ID result signal of the immigrant/emigrant is received from the network computer.
