PURPOSE: A direct type liquid crystal display device is provided to directly couple a supporting element of a diffusion plate with a lamp reflection plate by hooks or screws, thereby preventing the deviation of the supporting element from the lamp reflection plate regardless of the states of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A direct type liquid crystal display device includes a lamp reflection plate(220) and a supporting element(410) for a diffusion plate. The lamp reflection plate has through holes of a predetermined size. The supporting element is in the conical shape having a diameter becoming smaller toward the diffusion plate. The supporting element has a pipe-shaped protrusion(412) of a predetermined height in the center of a bottom surface. The center part of the protrusions is formed with first and second grooves(414,416) apart from each other by a predetermined distance. An end of the protrusion is extended toward the second groove to have a holding part(412a) in the hook shape. The holding part has a bottom surface in the slope shape(412b) to be easily coupled with the through hole of the lamp reflection plate.
