PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable composition which can prevent the reduction in yield due to deviation of e.g. refractive index, color hue and optical distortion of a resin comprising a thioepoxy compound, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The polymerizable composition contains a compound having one or more structures represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is a 1-10C hydrocarbon group; and R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each a 1-10C hydrocarbon group or H), wherein the total of a thioepoxy compound A having at least one structure of formula (2) and at least one structure of formula (3) and a thioepoxy compound B having at least one structure of formula (4) and at least one structure of formula (3) is 4 mass% or less based on the total mass of the composition.
