摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate unevenness of an image and to shorten the time needed for display. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a driving method for a display device which displays an image by applying a voltage to respective pixels by row electrodes and column electrodes arranged in matrix, e.g. a metal deposition type electrooptic display device. Address driving is carried out by applying a voltage above a threshold voltage V<SB>th</SB>selectively to specified pixels by superposing an address pulse voltage V<SB>address-row</SB>of the row electrodes and an address voltage V<SB>address-col</SB>of the column electrodes one over the other and a data maintaining pulse voltage V<SB>sus</SB>is applied right to the row electrodes right after the address pulse voltage V<SB>address-row</SB>.
