A flux for hot dip galvanization comprises from:<![CDATA[&Circlesolid;]]>60 to 80 wt. % of zinc chloride (ZnCl2); 7 to 20 wt. % of ammonium chloride (NH4Cl); 2 to 20 wt. % of a fluidity modifying agent comprising at least one alkali or alkaline earth metal; 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a least one of the following compounds: NiCl2, CoCl2, MnCl2; and 0.1 to 1.5 wt. % of at least one of the following compounds: PbCl2, SnCl2, BiCl3, SbCl3.
