The method involves passing different emission spectra through the liquid (7) to be measured and analyzed, acquiring the emission spectra modified by the liquid and feeding them in a focused form to an optoelectronic receiver (16) for recording and evaluation. Emitting diodes (11) are operated with a variable drive, e.g. with higher or pulsed currents. An Independent claim is also included for a device for implementing the inventive method.
