FIELD: electrochemical cleaning of liquid media; cleaning of industrial and domestic runoffs contaminated by organic suspensions, surfactants or petroleum products. SUBSTANCE: proposed unit includes gas generator located in lower portion of flotation unit and provided with stack of non- soluble and soluble electrodes. Floatation unit is made in form of taper bell-mouth mounted inside settler with open widened part upward. Water supply branch pipe is located in lower portion of gas generator. Settler is provided with cylindrical partition located coaxially relative to floatation unit and not closed from beneath. Gas generator electrodes are mounted horizontally in parallel relative to each other at distance which is adjusted by means of adjusting mechanism made in form of rod rotatable in supports and provided with adjusting nut secured rigidly. Said rod is provided with LH and RH threads, thus making it possible to set bearing plates secured on its ends in reciprocating motion; these plates are in direct contact with electrodes. Motion of electrodes at maintenance of constant inter-electrode clearance is performed by means of motion mechanism made in form of L-shaped spring-loaded lug embracing the electrode and spring-loaded pusher.
