Noise is damped down by employing a point-supported metal flat spring (5) with low-friction surface, the spring designed as a U-shaped insert in the bolt recess (2) so the two opposing insert legs (6,7) afford limited free adjustment for the spring. In a variant, the spring forms a single leg fixed to the swivel catch bolt so the spring covers the area of the bolt recess surface impacted by the closing bolt actuation. In a second variant, the spring is held by a plastics coating on the swivel bolt at the same time permitting full spring movement.
