PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a hologram or holographic stereogram of high quality. SOLUTION: The film holder 40 is used in subjecting a recording medium piece for the hologram consisting of one sheet of photosensitive film recorded with the hologram image or the holographic stereogram to heat processing and has a tray section 41 to be loaded with the recording medium piece for the hologram and a cover section 42 for coating the recording medium piece for the hologram in a position facing the main surface of the tray section 41. The region of the recording medium piece for the hologram on the side outer than the recording region recorded with the hologram image or the holographic stereogram is grasped by the edge of the tray section 41 and the edge of the cover section 42.
