PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool capable of improving the fracture resistance of a cutting blade. SOLUTION: This cutting tool comprises an exchangeable chip 2 having a cutting blade, and a holder part 1 having a chip supporting face 1a directly or indirectly supporting the chip 2. At least a part of a portion positioned between the chip supporting face 1a of a holder part 1 body and the bottom face 1b of the holder part 1 is constituted by a low elastic material 5 composed of a material having lower elasticity than that of the holder part 1 body.
