PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture an optical disk medium with less warping and birefringence by positioning two substrates coated with adhesive on recording surface sides oppositely to each other and applying compression force in the radial direction of these two substrates. SOLUTION: A first substrate 101 and a second substrate 102 coated beforehand with the adhesive 103 are overlaped, confronting the recording surface sides, that is, recessed face sides with each other. In such a process, since the recessed face sides confront each other, the central parts of the substrates 101 and 102 is in a floating state. In such a floating state, when pressure is applied from both directions, as shown by the arrows, the substrates are stuck, while smashing each other flatly. At this time, since the birefringence caused by stress is canceled by the birefringence provided in the substrate itself, the birefringence as a whole is suppressed to be small. |
