PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a momentum-measuring device which can measure only the momentum regarding an exercise of a proper strength for a user. SOLUTION: The user estimates his VO<SB>2max</SB>using a publicly known 'indirect method' and inputs it in this device in advance. The device obtains an upper limit value and a lower limit value for which a pulse rate corresponding to the VO<SB>2max</SB>is used as the central value. At the time of an exercise, as long as the pulse rate stays between the upper limit value and the lower limit value, a CPU 308 increases an accumulated time which is stored in a RAM 309 with an interval based on a clock pulse which is fed from an oscillation circuit 311 and a dividing circuit 312. At the same time, a pulse wave form at the time of the exercise and a pulse wave form at the time of rest are compared, and the exercise strength is estimated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
