PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 'an operation method for an aerobic treatment tank' enhancing the filterability of a floatable solid component in a filter part (fixed bed), and the aerobic treatment tank and a sewage cleaning tank both of which utilize this operation method.

SOLUTION: During the operation of the aerobic treatment tank 1 wherein a biological reaction chamber 2 and a filter chamber 3 are arranged in this order, the liquid passing speed in the filter chamber 3 is controlled so as to become 10 h-1at most by setting a superficial velocity (SV) in a column as an index.
