PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the phase of electric current supplied by a power source to a motor and the electric current from being uncontrollable by turning on/off a switching element, when a voltage value of the motor exceeds a voltage value of the power source in a power-assisted bicycle having a regenerative braking mechanism.
SOLUTION: This bicycle with an auxiliary power device has the regenerative braking mechanism, a speed detecting part for detecting the rotational speed of the motor and a shutoff switch for electrically connecting or disconnecting the power source and the motor. A control circuit determines whether or not the detected rotational speed is more than a disconnection thresholdωth3 as an interruption value to be the voltage of the motor corresponding to the rotational speed showing a voltage higher than a rated voltage of the power source. When the detected rotational speed is at least more than the disconnection thresholdωth3, an electric current amount supplied to the motor is made zero, and the power source and the motor are disconnected by the shutoff switch.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
