PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device capable of correctly and stably reproducing the BCA data of an optical disk. SOLUTION: The reproducing device of a disk recording medium constituted of an annular first data recording area having no groove or the like for tracking control or no pit, an annular or helical second data area having a groove or the like for tracking control or a pit is provided with an optical pickup for reading data from the recording medium, an optical transfer base for transferring the optical pickup, an optical transfer base driving section for driving the optical transfer base, an optical transfer base control section for controlling the optical transfer base driving section, and a storage section for storing a static-time control signal which is a control signal when the optical transfer base is nearly in an unmoved state in a second data recording area. When data is read from a first data area, the optical transfer base control section outputs a control signal identical to the static-time control signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
