PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely eject or carryout an information recording medium or the like. SOLUTION: When a sensing signal sensing an object to be carried having already been outputted from an insertion/ejection port 2 but sensing no object to be carried otherwise is not outputted from sensors 6, 7 regardless of the fact that the object to be carried such as the information recording medium is not outputted from the insertion/ejection port 2 during operations of ejection or insertion by a carrying roller 4, an opening/closing door 9 closes the insertion/ejection port 2. However when the opening/closing door 4 cannot close the insertion/ejection port 2 within a prescribed time, a microprocessor allows the carrying roller 4 to execute forcible ejection so as to thereby output the object to be carried having not yet been outputted from the insertion/ejection port 2, from the insertion/ejection port 2 thereby realizing sure ejection or carrying out operations.
