PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for calibrating an image capture device which independently controls both spectral characteristic and power level. SOLUTION: Disclosed are the method and system for use in testing and calibration of electronic imaging and traditional photographic equipment. An illuminator which has solid-state emitters and independently controls both output spectral characteristic and power level enables the system and method for accurately test and calibrate desired equipment.
