METHOD FOR TREATING OLD LESIONS OF DISTAL INTERFIBULAR SYNDESMOSIS AT FOOT SUBLUXATION

FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: the method in question deals with oblique osteotomy of external ankle, its replacement along osteotomy plane till restoration of anatomic fibular length and liquidation of excessive diastasis and fixation of achieved position of talocrural joint; osteotomy is carried out under the angle of 30-60 deg. towards horizontal plane up to the level being 0.5-1.0 cm above articular fissure of talocrural joint. As for fixation, it is conducted with the help of a plate designed out of material of thermomechanic memory of shape and modeled by fibular shape with curvature inside its distal part for 1.5- 3.0 mm designed with sharpened folded pedicles to embrace distal fibular fragment followed by fixation with screws the proximal part of osseous plate upon proximal fibular fragment.
