<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device capable of surely preventing rotation of a cam member when a cylinder lock is extracted from a body for a theft and easily replacing the cylinder lock without locking the cam member when replacing the cylinder lock. <P>SOLUTION: A safe plate 11 for preventing insertion of a lock pin 10 energized by a spring 41 into an engaging recessed part 27 of the can member 5 is attachably/detachably mounted on the body 9. An engagement part 11a is provided at one end of the safe plate 11. A cylinder inner 2 is provided with an engaging collar part 22 engaged to an engagement part 11a of the safe plate 11 when the cylinder inner 2 is removed from the body 9 at a lock position.
