PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-hung window preventing the incursion of rain water within jambs by a simple structure in the double-hung window ensuring air-tightness and water-tightness between a top rail and a horizontal muntin or a bottom rail of an outside shoji when a liftable inside shoji is shut. SOLUTION: A top rail air-tight material 16 continued between both ends of the top rail 9 is mounted on the outside shoji side 5 of the top rail 9 of the inside shoji, and the top rail air-tight material 16 is adhered to the horizontal muntin 3 erected between both jambs 1 and 1 or an overall length of the bottom rail of the outside shoji 5 between both jambs 1 and 1 or over between both stiles of the outside shoji 5 when the inside shoji is shut.
